One of the major focus areas of the organization is women empowerment, hence women are the key beneficiaries under various projects designed and implemented by us. The organization has been undertaking developmental activities for women living in remote rural villages as well as for those living in urban slums of the country. We have a dedicated team of field associates to help women in distress and need.
Our initiatives for women empowerment include Income generation activities through Self Help Groups, Legal awareness sessions, Adult Education, assistance for documentation related to various support schemes of the Government etc.

Care and Support Centre for women

URIDA is running a Care and support Centre for women in Kakrola,South West Delhi,where vocational training in garment making is provided to women from economically poor and backward classes at free of cost.We also connect these women with garment manufacturers to raise work orders to helps them grow further and support their families.
This centre also acts as an information/ facilitation centre for the information seekers as well as needy women beneficiaries. Other important aspects are, non formal education,free health checkups and distribution of medicines; legal counseling, food & nutrition camps and formation of Self Help Groups.
