Learning Centres for Children
URIDA’s Learning centers are being run in Kakrola and Tikri khurd for educating underprivileged children belonging to rural and urban slums. Remedial classes are conducted for school going children and Non Formal Education is imparted for school drop -out and non school going children. Approx.600 children are educated every year through these centres.
Adult Education
Adult education programme is meant specifically for illiterate women from the under privileged sections of society. Through this programme, the beneficiaries learn basic reading and writing skills and mathematics,which empowers them deal with day-to-day handling of household accounts, reading news papers,assisting their children in studies and even getting enrolled in skill training programmes which require basic education.The basic literacy programme is supported by National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS).After completion of the literacy programme,the beneficiaries are evaluated and certified by NIOS.
