PROJECT SFURTI BY MINISTRY OF MSME (Govt.Of India) :
The Scheme of Fund for Regeneration of Traditional Industries (SFURTI) is a project by Ministry of MSME to revamp the traditional industries by strengthening the artisan clusters through systematic interventions.The Nodal Agency under this project is Council of Handicraft Corporations (Cohands)

URIDA has taken up this project in the year 2022 in cluster Sonipat,Haryana where hand embroidery is practised by a vast number of female artisans and furniture making is the livelihood to many male artisans.The cluster is now primarily focusing on embroidered furniture, alongwith other products like ladies garments,home furnishings, home decoratives , corporate gifting etc.
The common facility centre established under this project with state of the art machinery and equipment for commercial production is situated near highway in Murthal,District Sonipat,Haryana.847 artisans are associated with us under this project. Production and marketing activities are managed by a Special Purpose Vehicle, Sonipat Furniture and Hand Embroidery Craft Producer Company Limited, with 33% directorship of artisans.

The cluster has created its own brand name HARYANA HOOPS. Our products will be soon launched in digital marketing platforms under this brand name.

HANDICRAFT PROJECTS BY MINISTRY OF TEXTILES
URIDA, with the support of Min. of Textiles (Govt.Of India),has been running various programmes for upliftment of Indian handicrafts sector.This project include identification of potential artisans, special focus on their skill development and mainstream them to the world of exposures and gainful self employment. The program takes account of formation of Self-Help Groups, trainings/workshops in various crafts, exhibitions and/or sale of artifacts in major craft bazaars. The major clusters for interventions are Gannaur (Sonepat), Tikri Khurd (Narela), Hastsal, Kakrola and Madhu Vihar with artisans on different crafts like Art Jewellery, Embroidery, Painting, Soft Toys etc. Trainings are conducted by consulting empanelled Resource Persons (designers) from NIFT. 70 Self Help Groups are presently functioning successfully and more than 2000 handicraft artisans are registered with the organization.
