KEY ACHIEVEMENTS OVER PAST TWENTY SEVEN YEARS
URIDA got accredited by Credibility Alliance for its transparency, accountability and good governance.
URIDA won Chief Ministers Award for best consistent performance of its Gender Resource Centre-Samajik Suvidha Kendra. Kishori Shakti Yojna was the new programme taken up by URIDA. Urida had the privilege of conducting a pilot project on data correction and updation of house hold survey data, under the Samajik Suvidha
URIDA’s team, with the help of computer professionals has been able to author two books on computer education. The programme was extended to cover disaster management, road safety, elevation of the status and quality of skill in artisans of Indian traditional Handicrafts.
Gender Resource Center – The GRC Programme sponsored by the Dept. of women and Child Development has been launched by URIDA. The programme aims at vocational training, formation of Self Help Groups, Stree Shakti camps etc for the welfare of women and children from the weaker sections of the society.
URIDA actively participated in the mitigation of losses due to mass destruction in Gujrat earth quake through sending a team of doctors for immediate assistance to the victims.
